Competition 2006 finalists
The Competition is divided into two categories based on contestants' performance experience. Requirements for entry to category Venus include electronic organ performance experience of 2 to 3 years, while that for category Jupiter is 4 or more years.

Winners of Competition 2005 had direct entry to Final 2006, they are Carlos Valbuena Martón and Silvia Corona González. Carlos is unable to participate this year. Claire Chapoule-Bard (France), who won third place last year, was successful in entering Final 2006 but unfortunately not able to come. Contestants who performed in the Open Concert and Workshop in London in September 2005 also had direct entry to Final 2006. They are Luke Smith and Yoshiki Kawamoto, both also entered Final 2005 where Yoshiki won the Senior section runner-up. The names above are not listed in any particular order.
Finalists will play their competition piece on Yamaha organs, either the EL900 or the Stagea ELS-01C.
