David Wong and Richard Sedding

David and Richard performed this medley twice in Competition 2010.

David did the arrangement. The pieces have some theme running through.

They met twice for practice, and an "installation check". Because they didn't have much time to practice nor time to arrange, the music needed to be fairly straightforward to play, something like sight-read. The modulations seemed to work but it took some time to work out what's best and to maintain a good balance between sections of the music.

What surprised them was that the Stagea was louder than the church organ. Also, through the PA, the Stagea has a more direct sound than the EL900. While the EL900 was softer than the Stagea, the former has a much more rounded volume than the Stagea. The sound engineer also remarked that Stagea's treble was weaker than the bass/rhythm coming through the PA, although the line recording was as good as from the Stagea.
